A Unicorn for Victoria

Victoria celebrated her 20th birthday with a unicorn cake (her request). Although it didn’t quite turn out the way I intended and I had to fight the urge to take all the icing off & start over, the birthday girl loved it anyway. Cake flavor: classic yellow butter cake with black raspberry filling and vanilla butter frosting & buttercream flowers/swirls.

My Annual July 4th Birthday Cake

I have been making Hu’s birthday cake for years and I’ve forgotten just how many. Since it fall on the 4th it’s usually red, white & blue. I try to make it look different on the outside but the flavor remains the same, chocolate with vanilla buttercream.
