Being owned by a cat

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve been “owned by a cat”.  If this sounds strange then you’ve never had a cat. I have had a lot of cats but have owned none. If you happen to have one you know what i mean. They allow you  into there life if they so deem, they expect you to feed them, give an occasional rub or pat on the head and if  it’s cold they might curl up in your lap but only if they want to. The one we have in the family now is no different, her name is T.K (short for Tiger Kitty).   She apparently has adopted my son and follows him everywhere when he’s outside and when not asleep in her favorite chair inside, she is always under foot. Don’t get me wrong  she will let me hold her but only if he’s not around. I think there’s a little bit of worship going on here. I love to see how she perks up when he walks into the room, it’s so cute. If course he does feed her so that might be the reason. She spends most of her day outside, sometimes sleeping inside at night. When inside day or night she lets you know when she has to “go” out by giving a hearty “Meow”. We don’t have to have a litter box which is great, I hate those smelly things.  It has been fun watching her grow (she was born in April 08)from a kitten into a beautiful cat.

 T.K.
