With 2008 on the way out I thought i would post the last of my cakes for this year. Some are birthdays, others are holiday cakes, a 50th Anniversary and a “no special occasion” cake.
A Square 3 tier + 1
14 DecThis was a fairly easy cake to decorate, just scrolls and dots. All done free hand. The tiers were set at an angle. The flavor, a classic butter cake with vanilla butter cream frosting was topped with a handmade fondant sugar bow. The smaller cake set to the side was red velvet, a favorite of the groom. The ornament on top was engraved with the bride and grooms names and their wedding date, a gift from the brides Mother. The silver stand, fresh Christmas greenery and red roses provided by Aldena’s florist.

08 Christmas Cakes (custom order)
4 DecBoy, I’m so glad to have this order behind me. It’s been a very long night & day. I had 20 to do. This is the third year that i have had the pleasure of doing these special cakes. The cakes are “thank you gift’s” for all the doctors that work with these nice people. It’s always great to get something sweet to eat. I am so glad they like my cakes. Here are just a few of the cake designs this year. Some are repeats from years past. Cakes were 11×15 sheets, yellow butter with vanilla buttercream frosting.
