Ruffles and Roses

       I think my most favorite cake to do is one with lots of flowers and lots of color . This one was a yellow butter cake with vanilla buttercream. The flowers are made with buttercream frosting.  I also like to air dry my flowers instead of piping them directly onto the cake or piping them on a flower nail, lifting them off then placing on the cake. July 4th Birthday Cakes

                                 

Two young people celebrating July 4th  Birthdays. Two different flavors of cake. Will likes the golden yellow cake, while Hu always gets a chocolate cake, both have vanilla butter cream frosting. Fondant stars in red, white & blue decorate the top and sides.
