Showers of Wishes for a Baby Boy

It’s always fun doing shower cakes especially for a baby. I loved the colors the customer chose for this one. The simple designs were cut from fondant. The flavor was butter cake with vanilla butter cream frosting.

 

Happy Birthday Emily

 My how time does fly. I have been making cakes for Emily since she was a very young girl and now she’s 27. Stripes, dots and squiggle ‘s in many colors with just a few flowers was the design for this cake. I didn’t want it to look to much like a ” little girls” cake. Flavor was classic yellow butter with vanilla buttercream.

50th Anniversary for Jack and Myra

 I have been making cakes for this couple for all types of occasions for such a long time and I was so happy I was asked to create a cake for this special celebration. Flavors were lemon butter cake with lemon buttercream frosting. The yellow roses were made from buttercream. The design a simple old-fashioned ruffle drape, topped with a 50th emblem and a gold ribbon bow.

A 95th Birthday Cake for 2012

Here it is 14 days into a brand new year and I haven’t taken time to post my new cakes.  So, I’ll start with this one.  The customer wanted something with bright colored flowers. The flavor was yellow butter cake with vanilla frosting. All flowers were buttercream.
