Flower Basket Birthday Cake
13 SepWhen my friend Diana asked me to do this birthday cake her request was “lots of flowers”. She loves my flowers. I think I fulfilled that request, don’t you?? 🙂
I covered the top of the 12″ 2 layer yellow butter cake with butter cream flowers, roses, mums, daisies, and some I don’t have a name for, using lots of colors. On the sides I piped a basket weave design. The cake was filled with raspberry butter cream and iced in almond butter cream.
Pink Roses for Karsyn Ann
16 JanWhat a nice way to start the new year, creating a cake for a baby girls baptism. The cake flavor was a family favorite, classic butter with raspberry buttercream filling and almond frosting. The flowers were buttercream and the cross is made using white chocolate. Monogram and numbers are fondant. Size: 2-10″ rounds.
A Cheshire Cat
25 Mar
This was a fun cake to do, especially since i do love cats. The birthday girl was going to see Alice in Wonderland (the movie) as part of her birthday party, so i thought a cat on her cake was purrfect. The cake was yellow with vanilla butter cream frosting, the cat & stars were cut from fondant, the flowers are butter cream.
Flower Cupcakes
12 AugI love doing the flower cupcakes, they look like a “garden in a box”. Great for any party. They are now showing up as an alternative to the wedding cake. Placed on a cupcake tiered stand they make a beautiful statement and are easy to serve but despite there size they are not usually any cheaper than ordering a tiered wedding cake.
Just a few of the sugar flowers I make for my cakes.
