The yellow wedding cake matched the day, bright and sunny, perfect for a wedding. The reception held at The National Country Club was also the perfect place for a party. All the tables were covered with beautiful cloths, navy for the cake table and yellow for the others . Flowers were done by Aldena Floral Designs. Flavors for the wedding cake were yellow butter cake with lemon filling and marble cake with chocolate butter cream. Iced in lemon butter cream. In the lobby was a candy table with loads of different types of candy for the guest to sample.
The chocolate grooms cake made for the rehearsal dinner. Iced in vanilla butter cream with fondant details.

When I started this cake I didn’t know how I was going to decorate it. I make so many sheet cakes it’s hard sometimes to come up with a design. Some people like sheet cakes, others not, but they are easier to serve for a crowd. So I began by making a few yellow buttercream roses in different sizes. The design just kind of emerged after that. Not really original but I used up all the roses and my customer loved it. The cake flavor, yellow butter cake with vanilla buttercream.
This young man loves to hunt, so it made a great theme for me to use. I tried to combine Fall with hunting. I didn’t want to cover the whole cake in camo so I divided it in half , which also gave me a good place for the writing. All the decorations ( leaves, hunter & dog) were cut from fondant. Cake flavor, yellow butter with vanilla buttercream, cake size, 11×15.
The first cake I made for the month of August was for one of my favorite customers. I have been making cakes for this whole family for many years and for lots of occasions so today they were celebrating Jennie’s 18th birthday. Always the same flavor, yellow butter cake with vanilla butter cream, only the decorations change.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIE, from ME !!!!
Hope you had a great day.
